The longer I'm a parent, the more I find my approach to the journey changing. Parenting is a journey toward sanctification, and I am amazed at how there is beauty in the midst of the mess of this vocation! For what were you most grateful last week?
"So, to the parent out there, wondering why we put in the manual labor, the grief, the heartache, and the struggle to get children out of the door and off to Mass on a weekly basis, take heart." While not planning on linking up this week, the unexpected affirmation I received after Mass made me realize - another parent may need the same reminder!
"It is a moment for which I am most grateful. It served as a reminder that there are times where the weight of life lifts, and the beauty appears on the horizon." This week's Gratitude Project wasn't quite a tangible "thing," as opposed to a heart-moment... a tangible moment, which made me take pause to enjoy the beauty. What are you most grateful for this week?
"Did you know that sex, drugs, nudity, death, and negativity sell? They sell air time on the television, they sell space in the news, and they provide society with supposedly the understanding of the way of the world. You know what doesn't sell? Light. Love. Beauty." This week's Gratitude Project includes a call to action. I hope you will join in and share the message to those you know!
"So, as I muddled through, trying to make sense of the head and tail of my root problem, I realized I was sad... I was grieving. But, I couldn't put my finger on it. Until last week." My family has hit two major milestones in the past week. Read on to find out more about those milestones, as well as learning a little bit of information about grief and loss... and, a reminder it can strike anyone at any time, and what may make one person grieve may not make another grieve.
