"As I slowly began to acknowledge His will be done, I also began realizing it is through His desires that He will help me. If I am willing to accept His will, and if I am willing to allow Him to equip me. If I am willing to be open to His guidance." We all struggle at times with a "why" when it comes to God's will. In today's piece, I encourage us all to reframe those moments, based on my current struggle, to seek a "how" to best live His will for our lives. How can we each allow Him to lead us Home?
"This particular song has resonated deeply within my soul. It isn't necessarily the words, but perhaps more the meaning behind the song." In today's piece, I explore how one secular song - has brought about some deep thoughts regarding being a wife and mother. And, I pose some questions we could all take a moment to ponder, regardless of being married or being parents. Are we all committed to enhancing our vocation - whatever it may be - to its fullest?
"I felt as though I caught a simple, modern-day glimpse of what Mary must have felt so many centuries ago." This week's Gratitude Project explores some moments which made this mama's heart smile - and, reminded her of simple beauty even when the rest of the world around us is heavy. What are you grateful for this week?
Today's My Sunday Best post showcases what I wore for Mass, what my daughter wore on her feet for Mass, and highlights some of the battles I will (and will not) engage in, in order to attend Mass productively.
"Therefore, last week went by with nary a word written. And, this week, I decided my soul whimpers a little when I don't make time to write. However, I can't find more than 24 hours a day in my life, and try as hard as I can, I don't have the energy when everyone else is asleep around me at the end of the day, to break out my computer to write. So, I have combined last week's Gratitude moment with this week's, praying that this doesn't become a monthly project, rather than weekly!" What are you most grateful for this week?
